Ingredients:
1 can (400 g / 15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
1/4 cup cocoa powder
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp bicarb / baking soda
pinch of salt
1/2 cup vegan dark chocolate chips

These are great! And I love they are naturally vegan and gluten-free without even trying. I used honey, though the original recipe called for maple syrup.

Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 177 C / 350 F. Line a 6” cake tin with parchment paper and grease it.
2. In a medium bowl, mash the chickpeas slightly with a fork.
3. Add the peanut butter, honey/maple syrup, cocoa, vanilla, salt, bicarb / baking soda, and salt.
4. With a stand mixer, blend the ingredients together until well mixed (including the chickpeas are broken down).
5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
6. Fill the pan with the brownie batter in an even coat and until cooked through (30 minutes).
7. Serve with ice cream of choice.
